About – Sofia Ibarra

there!

I'm Sofia, a multi-disciplinary designer currently living and working in Seattle.
Most recently I spent three and a half years at Microsoft as a Senior Designer in the Cloud and AI team. Currently on sabbatical to spend time with family and re-charge my creative energy.

I believe that equitable access to information and technology can empower people to build the skills and tools they need to succeed. Products that align with this thinking are what I’m most passionate about working on.   

My design solutions are driven by insightful research, hard data, and tight collaboration, turning thoughtful ideas into tangible outcomes that drive business value.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my partner Pedro and my scruffy dog Coyo. You can usually find us exploring the natural wonders of the PNW - canoeing, camping, hiking, and doing pretty much anything that allows us to spend time outdoors.
I'm also a sucker for a good sci-fi movie or novel and a huge soccer fan (Go Chelsea!).
